Bitaxe will not connect to Wi-Fi: the fixes
Most of the time, a Bitaxe that will not connect is stuck on a router setting, not a fault. Here are the checks to run, from the most common to the rarest.

1. The checks, in order
- Is the network 2.4 GHz? The Bitaxe cannot see 5 GHz. If your router merges both bands under one name, enable a separate 2.4 GHz network in its Wi-Fi settings and connect the Bitaxe to that one.
- Is the password exact? Upper case, lower case and special characters all count. When the connection fails, most AxeOS versions bring their own “Bitaxe” network back up so you can fix it.
- Router security. If your Wi-Fi is set to WPA3 only, switch it to mixed WPA2/WPA3 mode: some small devices only connect over WPA2.
- Distance. The Bitaxe antenna is small. Move it next to the router to test: if it connects, a repeater or a better spot will solve it.
- Connected but cannot find it? Its IP address is shown on its screen, and it also appears in your router’s device list.
- Power supply. A weak supply makes the machine reboot in a loop, which looks like a Wi-Fi problem. Use the supply meant for your model.
